What are the different types of car bike carriers?

Rear mounted – Fitted to the boot of your car, they are not universal fitting and there are some cars that they will not fit. If the carrier is obstructing the rear lights, you will need to fit a lightboard.

Roof mounted - You will need roof bars in order to fit this type of bike carrier. If you are transporting only 1 or 2 bikes, this can be a very cost effective bike carrier system.

Towbar mounted - This type is our favourite. You will need to have a towbar fitted to use a towbar mounted bike carrier. The beauty of these types of carriers is that they can carry the maximum amount of bikes and a lot of them have rear lights built into them. This elimates the need to buy a lighting board and come up with a way of securing it.
